In the spring and summer, canoe the Little Missouri River; sail Lake Sakakawea; and swim, jet ski and boat on rivers and dams throughout the region. Spring finds new life everywhere from crocuses and lilies popping out to fawns, calves and nests full of robins. North Dakota's warm days and cool nights always provide good sleeping weather. Rodeos, powwows, paleontology digs, parades and county fairs provide a bounty of entertainment.
